International Film Festival in Austria
FIAPF-accredited international film festival in Austria presenting feature films, documentaries, and short films in a non-competitive main program conceived for theatrical exhibition.
Premiere Requirements:
National Premiere
- Non-competitive, FIAPF-accredited event; the main program consists primarily of films selected by invitation, with only a limited possibility of integrating submitted works into the lineup.
- Films of all genres and running times are eligible for submission, provided they are conceived for theatrical exhibition and completed or premiered.
- Submission is open to works in any genre and format for consideration in the main program, but only films not previously screened in the host country are eligible for selection there.
- Main-program films may have screened at other international festivals, provided they have not been shown in the host country before selection.
- Short narrative (fiction) films up to 40 minutes in duration are only accepted if they are national productions, and such works are not accepted from other producing territories.
- Screenings are held exclusively from the following formats: 70mm, 35mm, 16mm, S-8, and DCP; no other screening formats are cited as being used.
- The original version is screened with English and/or German subtitles, as applicable to the film’s language.
- Only films that meet these format, runtime, completion date, and territorial premiere conditions are eligible for consideration for the main program.
