Premiere Requirements:
National Premiere
- Eligibility restricted to Documentary Features (minimum 60-minute runtime) and Narrative Features (minimum 72-minute runtime)
- Films must be directed by, written by, and/or produced by persons of African descent
- Narrative Features must be primarily produced, financed, creatively led, and developed in the United States
- Open to U.S. and international entrants aged 18 years or older
- Films must be in English or with English subtitles and must not have been previously exhibited, licensed for broadcast, cable, or online exhibition prior to the festival, nor secured prior distribution or distribution commitments
- Submissions must be made by the director or an authorized representative
- World Premiere status required.
